So as many of you may know, I’m venturing off to new things soon. I just wrapped up my PhD last semester and am currently applying to jobs. I was talking with my advisor the other day and she mentioned that she wants me to work closely with one of the newer graduate students over the next few weeks so that they can absorb information from me before I leave. This got me to thinking, there’s actually a lot of info that I’ve learned in the past four years of graduate school and it would be a shame to have it all evaporate over the next few years. I’m going to try to write down in a semi organized manner some things I wish I’d known early and some things I would have changed about my own experiences.

And as much as I enjoy just typing into my laptop without thinking, if there’s ever a topic you wish I’d cover please shoot me a message or comment below and I will try to write on it ๐Ÿ™‚

Eventually there will be blocks here that will allow you to go to different pages with advice. But in the meantime you can find the page you’re looking for by using the menu at the top of the screen!

  1. Greetings! I know this is kinda off topic however I’d figured I’d ask. Would you be interested in trading links or maybe guest authoring a blog post or vice-versa? My site addresses a lot of the same subjects as yours and I believe we could greatly benefit from each other. If you might be interested feel free to send me an e-mail. I look forward to hearing from you! Fantastic blog by the way!
